The new lineup builds on the space’s first slate of opening-season programs, with a new signature series, Luminaries, headlined by Emmy Award-winning comedian Trevor Noah. Astronauts Dr. Sian Proctor and Amanda Nguyen will also join a symposium on women in space. This fall’s programs cover artificial intelligence, wildfires and public health, Indigenous climate knowledge, and public trust in science. Events include a conversation with Pulitzer Prize–winning author and cancer physician Siddhartha Mukherjee and a live celebration with A Beautiful Resistance from Boston Globe Deputy Managing Editor Jeneé Osterheldt featuring SILK.

“Science isn’t confined to distant labs. We live it every day, in our health, our culture, and the choices we make about our future,” said Tim Ritchie, Gwill York President of the Museum of Science. “This region holds some of the world’s richest intellectual capital, and the public deserves a front-row seat to it. The William and Charlotte Bloomberg Public Science Common opens that door. It’s a civic home where world-class thinkers and creators meet our community, and where those conversations reach a global audience. Together, we’ll ask not just ‘What’s next?’ but ‘How do we build a future that works for all of us?”

Alongside these events, the William and Charlotte Bloomberg Public Science Common will offer rotating immersive exhibits and preview programming for visitors of all ages. These range from dinosaur storytimes for young learners and hands-on sound experiments, to explorations of New England wildlife and the Gulf of Maine for audiences of all ages.

For all ticketed events, tickets will be available to members starting 10am ET on Thursday, October 8, and to the general public on 10am ET on Friday, October 9.
